“La Malladeta” in Villajoyosa is a small coastal route to enjoy with the family.
Visiting La Malladeta in Villajoyosa is a plan for those sunny days in winter when you’re fancying a walk by the sea. A route that is not too long and easy to walk with the little ones. A very beautiful place and the perfect place to recharge yourself with energy!
La Malladeta: A place full of Magic
The road is located very close to Playa Paraíso in Villajoyosa, a small hill with several paths to explore and enjoy the best views of the Mediterranean Sea. In addition, it has other attractions such as the Tower, the old palace and what has caught my attention the most: the Iberian sanctuary. A special place, with energy and magic, being a place where thousands of years ago they put a sanctuary. Below you will find links to pages that tell you the history of these places. I recommend you read them.
Planta baja jardin 199.000 €
Aticos 259.000€ y 299.000€
We have few indications to give you, it is a small hill and you can choose many paths. Which one did we do? Almost every. First we walk to the left, in the opposite direction to the tower and then we go down to the sea, since there are some small rocky coves. Even though it was December, we took a dip in the sea :). From here we did return to the main path of the tower, we passed by the old palace, which cannot be accessed as it’s in ruins, and we went up next to the tower. The only bad thing is the graffiti on the Tower. Right here we can find the Iberian sanctuary, from 375 and 350 BC and a viewpoint where it is worth sitting for a long time to take in the views.
The path to the tower is signposted and you will find several information panels that will tell you the history of these 3 places. The rest of the trails are for free walking, to investigate and enjoy the place. You will see some curious things, I won’t say anything else so that you can investigate on your own :).
I do not recommend going with a stroller, but you can carry the baby in the special baby carrier backpack since it is not a difficult route and it also invites you to make numerous stops. For those of you who have a pet, it is an ideal walk.
Complete the Plan
If the idea is to enjoy all day in the area, you will not get bored. For those who want more nature, you can do another coastal route, or go to the Amadorio Swamp. If you want to do something quieter, you can visit the Valor Chocolate Museum or the Vila Museu (we haven’t visited it yet, but they have spoken highly of the place to me).
How to get there
To get there, take the Villajoyosa Sur exit of the N-332 and continue along Partida Paraíso (N-332-A) until you come across the first roundabout, just past Camping Playa Paraiso. Take the first exit on the right, on Avenida Marina Baixa, and park in that area. I think there are several ways to get there, but this way ensures easier parking closer to the main entrance. Once you leave the car, you just have to go up the hill that is indicated in front, and you will have arrived.
